Women Talking is a Movie that Matters.
The women of an isolated religious colony reveal a shocking secret about the colony’s men. For years, the men have occasionally drugged the women and then raped them. The truth comes out and the women talk about their new situation.
Through the backstory, we see a community of women come together to figure out how they might move forward together to build a better world for themselves and their children. Stay and fight or leave. They will not do nothing.
We love gathering friends for a great movie so join us for our Movies That Matter series. We’re showcasing Oscar-nominated, independent, and fan-favorite movies every second and fourth Friday – in-person in Sequim.
We serve snacks, popcorn, and dessert. You’re welcome to arrive at 1:30. The movie rolls promptly at 2:00. Afterward, we’ll have a lively discussion about the film.
